CARD MBA Senior Deputy Director for Operations Oliver Reyes (fourth from the left) announced that the new provincial office will be the first to cater the Paglambo Program, making its opening a symbol of progress for our Muslim brethren. With him are (from left to right) CARD, Inc. Regional Director Arlo Von Subrean, CaMIA Senior Marketing Manager Isabelo Tayaba, Jr., CaMIA Partner Relation Officer Jonalyn Ariza, CARD MBA Coordinator Norma Ganados, Microinsurance Supervisor Cynthia Alba, CARD MBA Deputy Director for Operations – OIC Janicekith Navera, and Cluster Manager – OIC Jovani Retobalde.

After participating in the recent National Microinsurance Forum in January, CARD Mutual Benefit Association (CARD MBA) continues its move to providing affordable microinsurance by opening its 79th provincial office (PO) on February 14, 2022 in Cotabato City.

The first PO opened in 2022 aims to bring the products of CARD MBA and CARD Pioneer Microinsurance Inc. (CPMI) to its members and clients to further the institutions’ goal of nationwide financial inclusivity and insuring millions of lives.

Serving as a multipurpose place of transaction for CARD MRI members, clients, and staff, the new PO opens its doors to better serve its patrons. For CARD MBA Coordinators, who serve as the direct link of the Association to its members, they can submit filed insurance claims and validated claims to the PO for faster processing. This is to achieve the “8-24 settlement strategy” of CARD MBA that aims to release a member’s claim within eight to 24 hours of filing.

Members can also proceed to the PO to get their claims, as well as inquire and avail other products that are available through walk-ins such as the Family Security Plan for additional benefits and Remitter Protek Plan for center members tasked to bring their collections to CARD offices.

In her message, CARD MBA Chief Executive Officer Jocelyn D. Dequito reiterated the importance of establishing more POs in the Philippines. “Our goal is to bring our services closer to our members and to hasten the processing of their claims. This is also an opportunity for our microfinance operations to bring our services, such as the Paglambo Program, closer to our members and clients,” Dequito said.

The Paglambo Program is a Shari’ah-inspired microfinance program of CARD, Inc. (A Microfinance NGO) for CARD’s Muslim clients, promoting financial inclusivity in accordance with Islamic laws and traditions.

Located at Block 5, Loro St., Federville Subdivision, Cotabato City, the PO will cater to a total of 24 units, accommodating 33,393 CARD, Inc. clients in the vicinity. It is also the first out of the five planned POs for 2022. To know more about CARD MBA, visit their website at www.cardmba.com or their official Facebook page, @CARDMBAOfficial.
